It seems like every week is is just crazy busy. One of the things I’m thinking about is that as you get older time just goes by so fast with everything that goes on in life. This can make it feel like things are out of control.
Of course, the only way to make everything feel like it’s under control is to limit the amount of things that you’re doing to where it’s a very small scope of activity and also limit it so that it’s only things that you can tightly control.
The problem is that if you limit what the things you do to such a narrow band, then it will limit the amount of new experiences you engage in. It will result in having a very constrained life.
The desire to feel like you’re in control of your life is very natural. But if you take it too far, you can actually inhibit your ability to experience a lot of the more wonderful things in life that you can’t really plan out in advance.
I’m a big believer in planning and the importance of planning, but there are also a number of things that need to just be experienced as they come along.
I think that’s one of the things that’s really important to do is to embrace the idea that there is a controlled chaos of life that is actually necessary for the chance encounters that can become the seeds of future greatness.
As we’re all going through our lives, it’s important to just understand that life is going to feel like it’s out of control, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
It is very rare that you will feel like things are in control and that’s perfectly fine. In fact, that’s actually a positive sign because it means you are taking on additional challenges.
